The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Fred Hutch) and University of Washington (UW) are recruiting for a full-time Assistant or Associate Member on the Clinician/Scholar pathway in the Pulmonary-Critical Care Medicine Section of the Clinical Research Division at the Fred Hutch, and a joint appointment as a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor (without tenure due to funding) on the Clinician/Teacher pathway in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, Department of Medicine, UW. This is a 12-month, indefinite appointment. A competitive applicant will have a clinical and academic interest in pulmonary complications of cancer, pulmonary complications of stem cell transplantation, and/or lung cancer. Demonstrated experience with the latest diagnostic technology, such as endobronchial ultrasound and navigational bronchoscopy, is required.
This position will be based at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Requirements include an MD (or foreign equivalent) and Board Eligibility or Certification (or foreign equivalent) in both Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B Visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The successful candidate will have clinical responsibilities on inpatient and outpatient services, the Pulmonary Diagnostic Service, as well as the Lung Cancer Early Detection and Prevention Clinic at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
