Interventional Cardiologist with Vascular Intervention skills for a growing Cardiology Practice
Interventional Cardiologists are highly trained physicians who specialize in the diagnosis and management of heart disease and perform diagnostic and interventional procedures on the heart and the blood vessels. They work alongside internal medicine providers, pediatricians, cardiac surgeons, and other specialists to care for patients. Physicians trained in adult cardiology care for people over the age of eighteen (18).
Interventional Cardiologists specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and intervention of diseases of the heart and cardiovascular system.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess an MD or DO degree from an accredited Medical School
- Must be licensed as a physician in good standing in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Must have valid Pennsylvania controlled Substance license and Federal DEA License
- Must be Board eligible/certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
- Must be familiar with healthcare standards of care and regulatory issues.
- Must be experienced with peripheral vascular interventions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Two (2) years of experience as a practicing attending interventional cardiologist
- Experience and training in structural heart disease interventions
- American College of Cardiology Core Cardiovascular Training Statement (COCATS) level 2 training and board certification in echocardiography from the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE)
- American College of Cardiology Core Cardiovascular Training Statement (COCATS) level 2 training and board certification in nuclear cardiology from the National Board of Nuclear Cardiology (NBNC)
- American College of Cardiology Core Cardiovascular Training Statement (COCATS) level 2 training and board certification in cardiac computed tomography from the Certification Board of Cardiac Computer Tomography (CBCCT)
