Drexel University College of Medicine has an opening for Medical Director of the Medical/Neurological ICU at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine, have strong teaching and clinical skills, and have established clinical or translational research interests in Critical Care Medicine. Philadelphia has a diverse patient population. Drexel University College of  Medicine supports and inclusive and diverse environment and seeks equally diverse faculty. Our unit is a 22-bed, high acuity unit with a varied medical population that includes liver transplant candidates and recipients, stem cell transplant recipients, as well as patients with complex multiorgan failure. Hahnemann is a designated Stroke Center and a local referral center for neurologic emergencies. Collaboration opportunities are available with Drexel’s Schools of Biomedical Engineering and the Dorsife School of Public Health.

Candidates will supervise fellows and residents, be responsible for curriculum development in Critical Care Medicine, and actively participate in quality improvement in the ICU. Candidates also have the opportunity to round on pulmonary consult services, supervise fellow clinics, develop an outpatient critical care follow-up clinic, and to develop their research interests.

Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience. Drexel University College of Medicine is affiliated with Hahnemann University Hospital which is an American Academic Health System institution.
