Columbia University Medical Center, Division of Hematology and Oncology and the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center

The Division of Hematology and Oncology in the Department of Medicine and the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center has embarked on an exciting expansion of its cancer programs. The division seeks multiple faculty, both clinical and research, across all aspects of solid tumor cancer. Program leaders are also sought for the areas of prostate and genitourinary cancer, upper and lower Gl cancers including pancreas and hepatobiliary, head & neck cancer, lung cancer and mesothelioma, melanoma and soft tissue sarcoma, as well as experimental therapeutics/Phase I studies. Rank will be determined by academic, research and clinical accomplishments.

The successful candidate will enter a dynamic academic, research, and clinical environment with many opportunities to collaborate with scientists across a diverse range of disciplines. We are seeking applicants who share our goals to advance an understanding of the biological basis of cancer, and to translate findings to the clinic, through the development and utilization of molecular, genomic, computational, and/or other innovative laboratory approaches with direct relevance to the etiology, prevention, detection, pathogenesis, and/or treatment of solid tumors. We will consider MDs or MD/PhDs interested in a broad range of disciplines including, but not limited to cancer/tumor biology, pathology, cancer genomics, and proteomics.

Minimum Qualifications: MD and/or PhD.  Clinical candidates must be board certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology and must be licensed to work in the State of New York.
