The Division of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences at Duke University is recruiting a clinician-scientist with expertise in the field of rhinology. Candidates must have completed an accredited program in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, have a focus on rhinology and be experienced academic clinicians. Candidates must also have a demonstrated record of excellent clinical skills and accomplishments, and have interest in the education of medical students and residents.

Candidates who wish to pursue a career in either basic science or clinical research are encouraged to apply. 50% dedicated research time will be given with the expectation that the candidate would obtain external funding. 

The Division of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences in the Department of Surgery consists of 16 academic MD faculty, 3.5 MD clinical faculty, and 4 PhD research faculty.  The division has a robust clinical practice at 4 practice sites that include Duke Hospital and Clinics, Duke Children's Health Center, Duke Raleigh Hospital, Duke OHNS of Durham and Duke OHNS of Person County.  The division has developed several interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary programs that include the Duke Voice Care Center, the Head and Neck Oncology Program within the DCI, the Vestibular Disorders Program, and the Duke Skull Base Center.   The division also includes a section of Speech and Audiology which is primarily hospital based.  HNS &CS also has a highly rated OHNS service at the Durham VA hospital.
