CLINICAL FACULTY: TRAUMA/BURN SURGERY

The Division of Trauma, Critical Care, Burn, and Emergency Surgery at the University of Arizona and Banner University Medical Group are actively seeking a Burn Surgeon to provide a full range of acute care services at its Tucson and South campus locations. Under the leadership of Dr. Bellal Joseph, Division Chief of Trauma and Martin Gluck Endowed Chair, the division is a dynamic environment offering comprehensive and multi-disciplinary surgical and medical care for our patients. Our Surgeons provide the best in patient care, resident and medical student education and training, and extensive community and academic endeavors. We are looking for a highly motivated individual that will serve as the Burn Medical Director who can help us develop our burn services moving into a new purpose-built facility in 2019 with the goal of becoming a ABA-certified not long after that.

The department is seeking an individual who can work with diverse students, trainees, and colleagues. The qualified candidate should be BC/BE in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.

• Must show evidence of clinical and didactic teaching ability
• Proven expertise in working with diverse patient populations
• Fellowship Training in Burn Surgery required
• Trauma and Burn Surgery coverage 50/50
• Conducts 1-2 burn clinics weekly
• Provides back up call coverage as needed

The candidate selected will have the opportunity to develop a full-time clinical practice, educate residents and medical students, and is encouraged to participate in clinical and/or basic science research. The candidate’s faculty appointment will be commensurate with experience and credentials.
