A hospital in Indiana is in need of a thoracic surgeon who can provide locum tenens coverage for ten days in September with a chance of extension. On a typical day, the locum will see one to four adult patients from the cath lab and trauma unit for open heart surgery consults. The locum will work a 24-hour call schedule that runs from Fridays at 5 p.m. to Mondays at 7 a.m. and will be responsible for rounding on the surgery patients and providing consults, but may need to perform a surgery if absolutely necessary. This facility uses Cerner EMR and will provide training.
