This position is located at Ft. Eustis, VA.

Ft. Eustis is located in the Hampton Roads region of southeast Virginia and nearby North Carolina, which has a combined population of 1.7 million persons. The area is rich in history and sporting opportunities. To the east of Ft. Eustis is Yorktown, with its battle grounds, national park and newly opened American Revolution Museum. To the north is Williamsburg, home to Colonial Williamsburg, Bush Gardens and the College of William and Mary, the second oldest college in America. To the northwest is the early American settlement of Jamestown. To the south is Hampton and further south Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Virginia and the outer banks of North Carolina. Many physicians choose to live in Williamsburg, which is one hour drive from Richmond and two and a half hours drive from Washington, D.C.
The region surrounding Ft. Eustis offers excellent family living conditions including affordable housing, good schools, favorable weather including mild winters, and extensive outdoor sporting activities to include boating, fishing, hiking and surfing.

You will screen and interview patients and perform psychological and bio-psychological evaluations using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to clinical psychology. Conduct psychological and psychometric assessments and formulate behavioral health interventions appropriate to a primary care setting and assist with implementing and monitoring treatment plans with the Patient Care Manager (PCM) and Behavioral health care manager (BHCM). Use objective and measurable outcomes to evaluate treatment effectiveness and make adjustments if appropriate. Provide follow-up care and on-going consolation services to those who require on-going monitoring, including relapse-prevention education. Develop specific clinical pathways or best practice programs for targeted patient groups to include patients with acute stress symptoms and PTSD.

US Citizenship required

Must have a current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.

Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
