JOB TITLE: Operations Director, Surgery (Oral Medicine, Urology and Transplant)

JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for overseeing the operations of the clinic and associated programs for the Department of Oral Medicine/OMFS, Urology, and Transplant for the system. Responsible for further development of programs, overall financial performance and marketing activity for all sites. Ensures department goals are aligned with the organization’s broader mission, vision, and driving strategies. Works within the Surgery Institute in conjunction with leadership, medical directors, operations manager and supervisors of these service lines to oversee all employees and activities. Reports to the AVP of Surgical Support Services.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:Demonstrates strong analytical, strategic, and tactical planning skills. Demonstrates an advanced business expertise (i.e. Business Plan Development, Budget Development & Analysis, Market Analysis). Demonstrates excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrates leadership, facilitation, coaching, and networking skills. Demonstrates decision-making and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates a working knowledge of all relevant software for clinical and business software systems.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in a Healthcare, Business or related field required. Master’s degree in business or related field preferred. Minimum three to five years’ experience, managing multiple departments in a healthcare setting required. Physician relations experience required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Work is typically performed in an office environment and includes travel.
