Heart Failure Program Lead Physician | Novant Health HVI | Charlotte, NC

Novant Health Heart and Vascular Institute in the Greater Charlotte Market of North Carolina, is a large multispecialty regional practice comprising more than 70 cardiovascular providers. NHHVI provides integrated inpatient and outpatient service line management in adult cardiovascular medicine and surgery. It has provided high quality patient centered care in Mecklenburg County and its contiguous seven county region for more than 35 years. Currently the HVI in the Greater Charlotte Market serves six offices and four hospitals.

Due to system growth and expansion we are recruiting for a BC Heart Failure Cardiologist based out of our Charlotte office. This position will include clinical responsibilities in the management of CHF patients as well as the opportunity to develop and lead our Heart Failure program into a destination left ventricular assist device (LVAD) and Heart Failure Center.

Our clinical services include:

• Non-invasive and interventional cardiology, cardiac imaging (CT and MRI), electrophysiology
• Vascular surgery, endovascular procedures, and cardiac surgery
• Structural heart (TAVR, MitraClip, PFO and ASD closure, LA appendage closure, Watchman)

The position requires high level skills for clinical consultative cardiology. The candidate should have proficiency in the management of the entire spectrum of heart failure. Fellowship training in heart failure including mechanical circulatory support is preferred. Leadership experience in program development is essential. 

This position will benefit from:

• Existing infrastructure enabling remote monitoring of ambulatory thoracic impedance and pulmonary capillary wedged pressures through CRM devices and Cardiomems technology.
• An established and integrated research division

• Eight weeks combined vacation and CME
