The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester is recruiting a new Chief of the Division of Endocrinology. We seek an individual with an MD or MD/PhD and a track record of excellence in research, teaching, and mentoring of faculty to lead all division activities. The applicant should be clinically active with board certification/board eligibility in Pediatric Endocrinology. The division chief will lead a diverse faculty group of four other Pediatric Endocrinologists and three NPs that provides inpatient services for the Golisano Children’s Hospital and outpatient services for an area of approximately one million persons.

The Department of Pediatric is consistently in the top 20 pediatric departments nationwide in NIH-funded research. The Department has strong ongoing programs in basic and translational research and has a long tradition of clinical service, medical student, and resident education, and  community-based advocacy. Golisano Children’s Hospital employs more than 200 pediatric specialists serving more than 85,000 children and their families each year. It serves as the referral center for all seriously ill or injured children from the 17-county Finger Lakes region and beyond. The current 124-bed children’s hospital opened in 2015 and includes a 68-bed NICU, a 22-bed PICU, and a 16-bed Cardiothoracic ICU in addition to regular inpatient units. The University of Rochester is a leading academic medical research center supported by a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) from the NIH. The Rochester area affords the best in stress-free living, including affordable housing, easy commutes, highly ranked public schools, and varied cultural, recreational, and outdoor activities.

The appointment would be at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor commensurate with qualifications. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
