The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Sean N. Parker Center for Asthma and Allergy Research in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University seek a scientist or physician scientist to join the Department as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Medical Center Line, University Tenure Line, or Nontenure Line-Research.

The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching.

The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the Medical Center Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

The major criterion for appointment for faculty in the Non-tenure Line (Research) is evidence of high-level performance as a researcher for whose special knowledge a programmatic need exists.

Faculty line and rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful applicant should have an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD, and perform basic or translational research in allergy, immunology, and asthma. If an MD or MD/PhD, should be board certified in allergy and immunology and hold or be able to obtain a California medical license.

We are particularly interested in candidates with research programs in the areas of basic science immunology, etiology of disease, links between genetics and environmental exposures, and immune mechanisms of therapy.
