Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine and Northwell Health’s Division of Nephrology at Lenox Hill Hospital, NYC is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Nephrologist/Kidney and Hypertension Specialist at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level to join our dynamic and collaborative group of 5 Nephrologists. The Division of Nephrology is acclaimed for it’s clinical, educational and research activities, and innovative programs.

Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient practice of Academic Nephrology caring for a wide variety of patients, as well as teaching and research.  The clinical practice occurs in various settings including hospital consults, general nephrology clinic and outpatient dialysis. The division maintains specialized clinical interests in AKI, CKD, renal replacement therapies, cardio-renal syndromes, glomerular disease, electrolyte abnormalities and women’s health in nephrology.

Candidates interested in clinical research are highly preferred.

The position comes with a faculty appointment at the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. Teaching responsibilities include both didactic and clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and nephrology fellows.

Lenox Hill Hospital, a 652-bed acute care hospital has earned a national reputation for outstanding patient care and innovative medical and surgical treatments. The hospital is particularly well known for excellence in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, orthopedics, sports medicine, otolaryngology/head and neck surgery, and maternal/child health.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
