Medical Director

TeamHealth has an excellent leadership opportunity for a full-time physician to lead our Anesthesiology team at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. We ask that you be a board certified Anesthesiologist with proven and extensive leadership experience and at least five years of anesthesia experience. Tampa General Hospital is a premiere level 1 trauma center. Working in a care team model, the right candidate will manage 60 plus anesthetizing sites. The Facility Medical Director will work closely with hospital administration, including the VP of Surgical Services, and participate in the day-to-day management of the perioperative area. In addition to clinical duties, Facility Medical Director responsibilities include but are not limited to support full and competent staffing of the practice, oversee and direct the anesthesia program as a unified division through all care delivery areas, and creating practice staffing schedules. TeamHealth provides both emergency medicine and anesthesia services for the hospital. All ranges of sub-specialty is covered including transplants. This position offers a highly competitive compensation structure, including facility medical director stipend and annual bonus opportunity.
