CHIEF OF URGENT CARE, KENMORE PRACTICE, BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS

Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, a practice of Atrius Health, seeks a Chief of Urgent Care for our Kenmore practice which is located in the Fenway/Longwood Medical area of Boston. The Chief will provide clinical leadership and oversight for a team of 18 full and part-time physicians and 23 full and part-time Advanced Practice Clinicians (NP/PAs). This position is responsible for aligning clinical activities for the implementation of mission-specific strategies and works collaboratively with colleagues, staff, management, and the community. This position is outpatient only, has both clinical and administrative responsibilities, and reports to the Chair of Urgent Care. Opportunities for teaching exist through our affiliations with Harvard Medical School and the Tufts University School of Medicine. Candidates must be board certified in either Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine - Pediatrics with 3+ years of clinical experience, and possess a proven track record of physician management and progressive leadership experience in an urgent care setting. The ideal candidate will be a well-respected clinician with a demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, team-based environment. They will serve as an advocate for on-demand, quality driven patient care and as a passionate orchestrator of continuous quality improvement in pursuit of care excellence. Exceptional communication, clinical, and relational skills are required as well as the ability to engage, mentor, and motivate staff. The Kenmore practice is situated in the heart of Longwood Medical area adjacent to Fenway Park and accessible by public transportation. Kenmore provides access to new and existing patients from a culturally and economically diverse surrounding area. It also services students from many of Boston's universities and colleges. The multispecialty facility offers on-site pharmacy, laboratory, and radiology services, and is affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
