BANNER MD ANDERSON CANCER CENTER, PHOENIX, AZ

The Division of Surgery for Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) is actively recruiting for two Colorectal Surgeons to join our exceptional team. Operating at several Banner Health campuses, the Division of Surgery currently includes 20 clinicians who provide outstanding surgical care for patients with all types of malignancies. Designed with experts from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the center has an evidence-based design and state-of-the-art technologies including advanced surgical tools, the Da Vinci robotics system and advanced treatment capabilities.

LEAD COLORECTAL SURGEON: Leading our highly integrated team of surgeons on the Banner Gateway Medical Center campus and at additional facilities in the Phoenix metropolitan area, the candidate will be expected to interface closely with the multidisciplinary cancer program. An active clinical research program has also been established, and the Lead will be encouraged to promote growth in research activities. BMDACC seeks an exceptional clinician with proven skills and values to lead this growing program. Candidates should have excellent clinical training and experience working with multidisciplinary teams. Qualified candidates are required to be board certified and possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum three years post-colorectal fellowship
  • Surgery experience with cancer
  • Leadership abilities/experience
  • Robotics experience preferred
  • Academics experience desired

STAFF COLORECTAL SURGEON: This position will be based at the Banner Estrella Medical Center (BEMC) campus on the western edge of Phoenix and cover at one additional west valley location. This position includes the opportunity to build the practice and develop a fellowship program. We seek candidates who are accustomed to working with multidisciplinary teams and possess the following qualifications:

  • BC/BE with the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery
  • Completion of a colorectal fellowship
  • Experienced surgeon with cancer experience/training preferred
  • Interest in working with robotics
  • Academics experience desired
