Serves as a Physician (Radiology-Diagnostic) at the Evans Army Community Hospital (EACH) providing routine and emergency inpatient and outpatient care. The employee is expected to perform independently and have consultative responsibility of a high level of professional competence. Board Certification by the American Board of Urology is desired.

Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.

As a Physician (Radiology-Diagnostic) you will:

  • Obtain history for general radiographic diagnoses.
  • Utilize specialty-unique imaging technology in the diagnostic evaluation of patients with complex problems using special procedures such as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imagine (MRI), Ultrasound (US), and Mammography (MG).
  • Evaluate and interpret radiographs within the Department of Radiology in accordance with established principles, practices and ethics of both the medical profession and the American College of Radiology.
  • Perform special radiographic procedures to include but not limited to fluoroscopy, Mammography, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Interventional, Angiography, Computerized Tomography, Chest and Pediatric Radiology.
  • Provide didactic lectures and/or film conferences with the Radiology residents, other Department or Medical Center physicians and medical students.

  • Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association, Association of American Medical Colleges, Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must provide education and medical knowledge equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

    Graduate Training: Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree, a candidate must have had at least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in an institution accredited for such training.

    Licensure/Certification: Candidates must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

    Experience Required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least 4 years of graduate training in the specialty of the position to be filled or equivalent experience and training in the specialty of Family Practice. This required Family Practice experience/training will include skills such as, but not limited to, the examination, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of medical, surgical, obstetric, gynecological, or orthopedic care on patients.
