The 101-bed hospital serves residents in and around Paradise in the Sierra Foothills The brand new Emergency Department, renovated in 2012, sees 24,900 annual visits and has 18 private treatment rooms, an isolation room for patients with infectious diseases, and a separate entrance with direct access to new design that will allow for immediate access to x-ray, digital radiography and CT imaging services The ED offers 2 work stations with new state-of-the-art equipment such as ultrasound machine, glide scope, dedicated open MRI, and 2nd 164 slice CT scanner. The only Hospital to be a recipient of the Gold-Level, California Award for Performance Excellence twice, in 2008 and 2010 Awarded the HealthGrades 2010 Emergency Medicine Excellence Award and is among the top 5% in the nation (video)
