Job Title: Neonatologist
Location: Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes Barre, PA
Department: Neonatology Geisinger is seeking a Board-Certified/Eligible Neonatologist to join a group of three experienced neonatologists at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center NICU in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This 14-bed, private-room level 2 unit is located immediately adjacent to a growing labor and delivery service. The NICU will provide level 3 NICU services beginning in the summer of 2019 and is expected to grow quickly with increased acuity. The NICU participates in the Vermont-Oxford Network database and serves as a training site for medical students from the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. An academic appointment is available through the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine based in Scranton, PA.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated excellent clinical and interpersonal skills as well as a high regard for teamwork. All neonatologists are expected to maximize patient satisfaction, participate in system-wide NICU committees and work to improve patient outcomes. Leadership opportunities are available for qualified applicants. Ongoing clinical experience through Geisinger level 4 NICU based in Danville, PA is also available.
