The Cleveland Clinic is seeking qualified candidates for a staff position in Cardiovascular Medicine's Vascular Medicine section to serve as the Director of Vascular Medicine Research. Applicants should have demonstrated outstanding clinical and research training with focus on vascular medicine and/or clinical thrombosis. The ideal candidate would have a record of scholarly achievement and board certification/eligibility in Cardiovascular Medicine and/or the American Board of Vascular Medicine. The Director of Vascular Medicine Research will be responsible for growth of the clinical research portfolio of the Vascular Medicine Section including expansion of departmental registries and interdepartmental clinical and translational research programs as well as research mentorship of fellows and junior faculty. This position involves 50% of time dedicated to research activities.

The Cleveland Clinic is an internationally recognized medical center with an integrated health care delivery system. The Cleveland Clinic includes a tertiary care facility located minutes from downtown Cleveland. The Section of Vascular Medicine is part of the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart and Vascular Institute. The section includes 11 staff members and 3 advanced practice providers focused on providing care to patients. The section is engaged in a high volume, complete state of the art vascular laboratory and maintains a high volume hospital consultative service. The section is home to an advanced lower extremity wound clinic, specialty clinics treating fibromuscular dysplasia, superficial venous disease and a pulmonary embolism response (PERT) team.

The section also hosts a vascular medicine fellowship program with dedicated faculty involvement in teaching and training. The opportunity for appointment to the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of CWRU is also available.
