Chief, Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery
The Department of Surgery, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an board certified or equivalent surgeon to serve as Chief of the Division of Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery. The Division of Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery is comprised of three programs: Cardiac Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery, and Heart and Lung Transplant and has a fully accredited ACGME training program in cardiothoracic surgery that consists of rotations in adult cardiac surgery, pediatric cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery. This position will be appointed at the rank of Full Professor. The selected candidate will be a national leader in Cardiothoracic Surgery and will have an exemplary record of clinical and research accomplishments. Candidates will be expected to lead the clinical effort in Cardiothoracic Surgery, to participate in patient care, and be responsible for a basic and clinical research program. Recognized teaching skill and expertise in residency and medical student training is required.
