Center Director, Heart & Vascular And Chair, Department Of Cardiothoracic Surgery
The Cleveland Clinic, one of the world's most distinguished academic medical centers in the U.S., announces a search for a Center Director of the Cleveland Clinic Florida Heart & Vascular Center and Chair of Cardiothoracic Surgery. This appointment will be the leader of both the Heart & Vascular Center and Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida.
The Center Director and Department Chair will be responsible for overall leadership of the heart and vascular programs, including operational, fiscal, educational, and quality improvement measures as well as participate with the Heart & Vascular Institute Leadership team in Cleveland, Ohio.
Responsibilities for the successful candidate include:
- Embrace the clinical culture of Patients First and focus on Access, Quality, Safety and Patient Experience
- Strong leadership skills and experience in successfully managing and mentoring physicians and other caregivers
- Develop regional alliances/networks and actively participate in CC Florida strategic planning
- Build academic heart and vascular programs that will be differentiating in the South Florida market
- Outstanding communication skills to foster alignment with the Heart & Vascular Institute in Ohio and CC Florida, with emphasis on HVI programming; aligning with program metrics; carepath development; and develop disease based heart and vascular programs
- Grow and develop the Heart & Vascular educational programs
- Expand the local and regional outreach of the Cardiothoracic Surgery program
The program has done over 60 heart transplants. Experience in heart failure procedures is desirable.
