The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Division of Gerontology in Boston, MA, is seeking a board certified or board eligible physician in Geriatric Medicine to provide clinical care in a variety of settings and participate in the academic activities of the Division. This position will be in conjunction with an appointment as Instructor or Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a staff appointment at BIDMC.

Clinical Care: This position includes 45 weeks of clinical practice per year in a variety of geriatric care environments, including outpatient, inpatient, and community based skilled nursing and nursing home settings. The clinical effort will include at least three, four-hour outpatient sessions per week, plus inpatient and/or nursing home coverage, and very modest night and weekend call responsibilities.

Education/Academics: The position offers ample time for teaching in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with our clinical fellows, residents, and students. Additionally, the position provides protected time for academic pursuits. The ideal candidate will have interests in teaching and/or research and will be able to assume a future leadership role in Division initiatives.
