Associate Chief Medical Officer, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital
Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, part of Memorial Healthcare System, is looking for a medical leader to work with the Chief Medical Officer in providing medical oversight, expertise, and leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality, and cost effective healthcare services. The Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) will play a key role in serving as a liaison with the medical staff in clinical effectiveness activities including evaluation of utilization and resource management, education regarding quality documentation, implementation of effective discharge planning, and on-going review of best practices and clinical guidelines. Those with the ability to promote change through effective communication and education while maintaining the highest standards of medical quality and safety are encouraged to apply.
All applicants should demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills in addition to decisive judgment. Board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics and at least five years of prior clinical experience in hospital-based general pediatrics or a pediatric subspecialty is required. Experience with utilization reviews, child protection, or other administrative experience in pediatrics is preferred.
