About Plainview Hospital

Located in Long Island, NY, Plainview Hospital is an acute care community hospital with 219 beds that treats patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and gynecological conditions. It has a same day surgery program and is also the site of one of the Don Monti Cancer Centers.

The hospital was recently recognized by the Joint Commission for achieving excellence in performance on its accountability measures for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical care. Plainview is one of only 405 hospitals in the United States to earn this distinction, which represents the top 14 percent of Joint Commission accredited hospitals.

Position Summary

To provide leadership for Hospital with the responsibility for ensuring that practice meets the clinical quality and safety standards of the institution. Coordinate clinical quality improvement and patient safety activities in alignment with institutional priorities. Assists the Medical Director in directing and coordinating activities of the site and/or assigned department(s). Assists in monitoring and supervising activities of all attending physicians. Assists in planning and in carrying out a medical program of diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries for residents/patients; maintains goals compatible with the overall needs, policies and procedures of the Health System. Assists in performance improvement and quality assurance studies. Ensures licensed, registered, and certified employees maintain current and active credentials.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
