We Are:
Employee Health & Wellness Services (EHWS) is seeking a full-time Board Certified Occupational Medicine Physician in New York, NY. The EHWS service provides 45,000+ clinic visits per year and this year is focused on improving the systems that support our work. This faculty position combines clinical (~60-70%) and administrative work (~30-40%) and faculty rank and title will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

You Will:

  • Provide high quality evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform routine occupational medicine clinical services including pre-placement evaluation, work-related illness or injury (evaluation, treatment, and consultation with specialists when indicated); counseling and management of blood-borne pathogen exposures; medical surveillance exams; fitness for duty evaluations; and return to work evaluations with or without workplace accommodations
  • Interact positively and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across MSK, including: patients, coworkers, management, Infection Control, Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, Employee Assistance Program and others
  • Be an active participant in designated MSK committees related to occupational health

You Need:

  • At least two years of experience working in a medical center occupational health setting including performance of occupational medicine clinical services
  • Experience in matters of regulatory body standards (e.g. OSHA, NYS, DOH, CDC), Workers’ Compensation, Disability Management & Workplace Accommodations, Workplace Health & Safety, and Medical Surveillance
  • Experience performing routine occupational medicine clinical services
  • Unrestricted NYS medical license
  • Unrestricted federal-issued DEA
  • MRO certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire
