Position Description

Seattle, Washington - Swedish Family Medicine Residency - First Hill is seeking a full-time or part-time family medicine physician to join our faculty. This position consists of a weekly schedule including direct clinical care, supervision of residents, curriculum work and dedicated administrative time. Ideal candidates will have skills in full-spectrum family medicine and previous teaching experience. We are a large, urban family medicine residency with three clinical sites serving some of Seattle’s most vulnerable communities. Our mission is to train family physicians to serve local and global communities through exceptional patient care, leadership, and advocacy for health and social justice. We graduate 11 residents per year, plus five advanced obstetrics fellows and two fellows in geriatric medicine. Our residency program is affiliated with the University Of Washington School Of Medicine and the WWAMI Residency Network, a collaborative multi-state group of family medicine residencies. Candidates must be ABFM certified and possess or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Washington, have DEA certification, and must have or be able to obtain by the time of employment medical staff privileges at Swedish Medical Center. The Swedish First Hill campus is a 697-bed, general medical and surgical hospital located in downtown Seattle. As the largest of Swedish''s five hospitals, First Hill is considered the main Swedish campus. In addition to the hospital and emergency department, the First Hill campus is home to the Swedish Cancer Institute and the Swedish Orthopedic Institute. The hospital provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services including the area''s largest childbirth center, NICU and specialty pediatric care.
