Position Description

Seattle, Washington - The Swedish Cancer Institute (SCI) is seeking an accomplished physician investigator to act as Medical Director of its Innovative Therapeutics Unit (ITU). This is a full-time position, requiring board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology. The Medical Director will be responsible for the integration of novel clinical trials, specifically early phase clinical trials, focusing on targeted therapies within the framework of SCI's personalized medicine platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the design and conduct of early phase therapeutic trials as well as in translational research and molecular oncology, being recognized as a national/international leader, or emerging leader, in modern cancer therapeutic development; a disease site focus is encouraged. Additionally, they will have a strong track record of superb patient care, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and high emotional intelligence.
