The Global Therapeutic Area Team Leader (TL) for Dermatology, Inflammation & Immunology (I&I) Medical Affairs (MA), will provide Medical leadership, collaborating with the respective Global Medicine Team and Disease Area Working Group Leaders in the Business and Research Units in developing product strategy and ensuring consistency of approach and deliverables for medical activities across the Pfizer I&I Dermatology portfolio. The TL will represent Medical Affairs globally and contribute deep expertise of the Disease Area to inform end-to-end portfolio and indication strategies in support of early and late-stage clinical, commercial and business development across Pfizer Dermatology. The TL will lead a team of medical colleagues, manage medical resources, and ensure that medical plans supporting dermatology pipeline and inline assets are successfully developed and executed to achieve short- and long-term objectives. The TL reports to the I&I Medical Affairs Global TA Lead VP.

Role Responsibilities

•End-to-End Portfolio and Indication Strategy and Lifecycle Planning: Provide Medical leadership for the development and execution of global clinical and business development, commercialization, launch, and lifecycle strategies and plans for in-line and pipeline Dermatology assets.

•Deep Disease Area Understanding and Expertise: Apply clinical knowledge and provide Medical leadership for the development and implementation of customer and other insight generation strategies around current and future physician and patient medical needs and medical practice to inform the Dermatology portfolio, Disease Area, indication and brand planning and strategies.

•Medical Affairs Representation: Coordinate and represent Pfizer and I&I MA internally and externally in key MA activities including MA input for regulatory interactions, safety updates, and interactions, partnerships and collaborations with scientific experts and medical societies globally.

•Internal Communication: Align the voices of the Global TA and Regional MA, representing I&I MA in internal forums. Ensure regional needs are considered and represented in global strategies and plans including input into the global development and commercial strategy and its implementation. Develop and strengthen partnerships among key stakeholders.

•Organizational Capability: Build trust among MA team and broader stakeholders by setting a highly visible example of medical excellence. Actively support development of direct reports, providing insights, direction, and opportunities.

•Patients First and Category Thinking: Proactively incorporate patients' & physicians' voice in the discovery, development, and commercialization strategies across Dermatology, to provide medicines meeting their needs, as well as the needs of regulators, payers, and other stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MD
  • Board-certification in Dermatology preferred
  • Clinical expertise in dermatology including experience with patient care is required
  • Minimum seven (7) years of industry experience preferred with at least five (5) years of Medical Affairs experience including specialty product launch experience
  • People management experience is required. Highly motivated with demonstrated track record of high performance, project execution, and producing outstanding results
  • Capable of comprehending and communicating in a clear, concise manner a large amount of scientific information
  • An ability to lead and manage in a matrixed structure and in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to lead strategy development
  • Clear networking and alliance building capabilities with an ability to influence and develop others, and navigate the internal processes
  • An ability to be flexible and to be innovative
  • Proven ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among key stakeholders and build internal and external relationships through partnering, anticipating needs, fulfilling expectations
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required, with excellent communication skills
