Mayo Clinic in Arizona, Cardiovascular Division, seeks advanced echocardiography trained physician candidates to fill a faculty position in echocardiography/cardiology. Applicant must be ABIM board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, ASE certified in Echocardiography and has advanced echocardiography fellowship training post cardiology fellowship. 

Echocardiography lab Mayo Arizona is a high volume (over 23,000 studies per year), ICAEL accredited lab with its own ultrasound school in affiliation with Mayo Clinic Rochester and has a dedicated advanced echo fellowship program as well as research echo fellowship program.  Currently its 23 sonographers and 13 echo faculties perform a large  number of TTEs, stress echoes, IMT and TEE studies and routinely use 3D echo during TTE and TEE. The lab performs adult congenital heart disease echoes, intraoperative and cath lab and OR TEEs during percutaneous valve interventions including TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman device and guidance during placement and evaluation of LV and RV mechanical support devices. There is an expanding research program with active projects in TTE,, cardio-oncology, stress echo, 3D TEE, intraoperative/interventional TEE, hand held echoes, carotid IMT and heart failure and pacemakers. The Echo Core lab has several active multicenter projects. Clinical reading platform and workflow is integrated with Mayo Clinic Rochester echo lab. Successful candidate will participate in all routine echo lab procedures and participate in interventional echo depending on training.
 
The cardiovascular Department has an accredited cardiology fellowship program and supports an active mechanical cardiac assist device program, heart and lung transplantation, pulmonary hypertension, adult congenital heart surgery, hybrid-Cath lab/EP/TAVR programs as well as the full spectrum of standard cardiac surgery, in addition to pursuing clinical research and resident education.
