Northwell Health is seeking a BC/BE Fellowship trained Colon and Rectal Surgeon to join us as we expand our services throughout the Eastern Region of Long Island, New York. The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, endoscopic skills, and an interest in surgical education. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate who is interested in being part of a growing practice in Suffolk County which will involve inpatient work as well as outpatient work in the region.

This opportunity will be based at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead - joining the successful practice of Dr. Brett Ruffo, MD, FACS, FASCRS. Located within Peconic Bay Medical Center, the world-class Kanas Center for Advanced Surgery has been ranked among the top 10 percent of general surgery facilities in the nation. The surgery center includes the da Vinci Surgical Robotics Program, allowing our surgeons to use state-of-the-art robotics technology to improve patient safety and outcomes.

Peconic Bay Medical Center is a 200-bed community hospital - the largest in Eastern Suffolk County. Located between the vineyards on the North Fork and the world-class beaches of the Hamptons on the South Fork, with easy accessibility via the Long Island Railroad and the Long Island Expressway to Manhattan – this community is an ideal environment for growing careers and families.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
