I am recruiting for an Medical Director Oncologist (3 plus years of experience) who would have interest in being a Medical Director with a new and expanding Cancer Healthcare Center. This position would be a combination of Medical Director and Hem/Onc clinician (20%/80%). The practice, located in a very nice community in Northwest Georgia, is 30 minutes from Chattanooga, 90 minutes from Atlanta. They have wonderful schools, and many amenities within a short drive of the city, especially outdoor activities. This is a rapidly expanding state of the art hospital that is currently undergoing construction of a brand-new Cancer Center (April 2019 opening date). This 300 Bed Full Service, Acute Care Hospital was recently named one of the nation's '100 Great Community Hospitals'. The award is the result of the excellent care their associates and physicians provide to their community each and every day. Construction of a $50 million comprehensive Cancer Center began in the summer of 2016. This leading-edge three level 37,800 square foot Institute will offer patients expert care with state- of-the-art technologies, bringing the most advanced technology and cancer services to the region. The new Cancer Center will integrate cancer care services that are currently located across the Hospital campus into a single multidisciplinary facility. The hospital will offer a highly competitive salary, Medical Director Stipend, full benefits package, and a very large start date of bonus, $75k. In addition to the bonus, after one year in practice within the community, you would be eligible for an annual $20k housing allowance while you stay and practice in the Dalton area. This is a wonderful community to both live and too work, with a hospital very well economically resourced to provide outstanding services to its community. Dalton and it citizens have invested millions in its hospital. It is a wealthy community in many respects, and they value having an outstanding locally owned and operated Hospital, and show it with a very large endowment reflecting their pride and interest in this hospital.
