NYU Winthrop Hospital’s Research Institute seeks an accomplished senior investigator whose interests align with our goal: To advance the health of populations as leaders in the discovery and translation of new knowledge into policy and practice. Core interests of candidates can include:

• Health delivery science, including evaluation of system-level interventions and models of care
• Behavior change to improve health and reduce disparities
• Comparative effectiveness and decision science
• Behavioral economics
• Epidemiology

The Research Institute has especially strong programs in diabetes, obesity, and their complications, so investigators with these interests are encouraged to consider this opportunity.

We require an excellent record of quality scholarship and extramural funding as a Principal Investigator; strong mentoring skills; and an established research agenda supporting appointment at the level of Associate or Full Professor. Core qualifications include: PhD and/or MD or equivalent degree; for physician investigator candidates, board certification or eligibility and NY State licensure or eligibility is required.

Scholarship that bridges disciplines is encouraged across departments with NYU's many schools, centers, and institutes. In particular, there is a growing set of collaborations with NYU Langone Medical Center’s Department of Population Health. Other remarkable research opportunities exist across the NYU Hospital System and with a broad range of NYC-area government, community and academic partners.
