Opportunity for Medical Oncologist in Richmond, VA

Bon Secours Medical Group (BSMG), a physician-led, multispecialty group in Richmond, VA, is currently seeking a BE/BC medical oncologist to join their progressive team of cancer experts. As a member of this team, you will work with six other medical oncologists to provide community-based cancer services in a compassionate and healing environment. The hospital you will cover is designated as a Community Cancer Program by the ACS, and the Breast Imaging Center is accredited as an ACR Breast Center of Excellence. You will benefit from the 1:1 support of a nurse practitioner in providing outpatient and inpatient consult services. Interested candidates should be eager to use their leadership skills to expand our medical oncology program and grow our outpatient infusion centers. You should also be willing to conduct clinical trials and have an interest in oncology research. Specific clinical interests are advantageous.

The Bon Secours Cancer Institute provides a wealth of experience and resources through the synergy of four acute-care hospitals, two freestanding outpatient radiation oncology centers, five outpatient infusion centers, and the Cullather Brain Tumor Quality of Life Center. We offer patients the best possible outcomes with the integrated clinical support of pathology and radiology, surgical oncology, medical oncology, and radiation oncology, as well as additional support from home care, hospice, and palliative medicine. State-of-the-art technologies include: brain labs for the treatment of brain tumors, Trilogy Treatment System for conventional and stereotactic radiation therapy, Varian Linear Accelerators with GE CT simulators, Mobile PET/CT services, and breast MRI, 3-D and digital mammography.

What we offer our physicians:

  • Competitive compensation packages that include base salary, productivity incentives, a full range of benefits, sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance
  • Fully-integrated Epic EMR used in both the ambulatory and acute care settings
  • Work/life benefits including dedicated administrative time each week
  • Opportunities for involvement in various physician-led committees
