Milford Regional Physician Group (formerly Tri-County Medical Associates) and Milford Regional Medical Center (MRMC) are recruiting a Director of Hospitalist Program/Chief of Hospitalist Medicine within the Department of Medicine at Milford Regional Medical Center. The Director and Chief of the Hospitalist Service will have a dual reporting relationship to the President of TCMA and Chair of Medicine at MRMC. This position will have a clinical and administrative component.

Milford Regional Physician Group and the Milford Regional Medical Center are seeking a dynamic and innovative Director and Chief of the Hospitalist Division, which serves as the centerpiece of care for the Department of Medicine. The successful candidate will be collegial, enthusiastic, and progressive. The leader in this key role is responsible for pursuing high levels of satisfaction of both the Hospitalists and their patients, while assuring measurably high quality, safe and efficient, scientifically-based adult medical care, maintaining continuous coverage of the Hospitalist Division, and collaborating effectively within a diversified health care system. Candidate must enjoy teaching, be diligent in the credentialing and privileging of outstanding internists to serve as hospitalists, and be an inspiring recruiter able to retain an outstanding faculty.

About you:

  • Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Hospitalist
  • Must possess demonstrated leadership, management, and clinical skills

Tri-County Medical Associates and Milford Regional Medical Center together form the Milford Regional Healthcare System. Tri-County Medical Associates operates the hospitalist program based at Milford Regional Medical Center providing coverage 24 hours a day/seven days a week with 22 excellent physicians, and five advanced practice clinicians. MRMC is a nonprofit, full-service, community and regional teaching hospital, with 145 beds, providing acute-care serving a region of 20-plus towns. 

Milford Regional Medical Center offers multiple academic affiliates on its campus including the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, University of Massachusetts Memorial, and Boston Children’s Hospital. The medical center educates and trains University of Massachusetts residents and medical students. MRMC has over 60,000 Emergency Department visits per year that complements the 31 physician sites and three Urgent Care Centers of TCMA. In addition to the hospital’s quality and safety achievements, including being a Leapfrog A hospital and named a 2017 Most Wired Hospital by the American Hospital Association, a recognition given to only nine hospitals in Massachusetts, Tri-County is the top regional service organization (RSO) within Partners Community Physician Organization (PCPO) for quality performance from 2010-2016 and has several practice sites which are NCQA accredited Patient Centered Medical Homes.
