FACULTY OPPORTUNITY: Infectious Diseases Clinician Educator

Location: New York, NY

The Division of Infectious Diseases and Immunology of NYU School of Medicine is recruiting for a BC/BE ID-trained clinician educator for a full-time attending faculty position.

The position is based at NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue, the flagship public municipal hospital of New York City and a major teaching affiliate of the NYU School of Medicine. Clinical responsibilities would be primarily in the Bellevue HIV ambulatory clinics providing HIV care for an extraordinarily diverse patient population of broad national origin.   The central tenet of Bellevue is to provide the best quality of care for all of New York’s population and to deliver health care to every patient with dignity, cultural sensitivity and compassion regardless of the ability to pay.   Teaching responsibilities of this position include precepting and mentorship of ID fellows, residents and medical students and co-leadership of the fellowship’s HIV curriculum.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include Board Certification or Eligibility in Infectious Diseases.

Preferred candidates would have significant clinical and academic experience in HIV medicine, medical education and quality improvement research.
