Faculty Position – Non-lnvasive Cardiologist

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/Memorial Hermann Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking an outstanding non-invasive cardiologist for our rapidly growing program in advanced heart failure, transplantation and mechanical circulatory support in Houston, Texas.

In this dynamic position, the non-invasive cardiologist will play a key role in the further development of a heart failure, transplant and mechanical support service and will be part of an independent and state-of-the art Center for Advanced Heart Failure which is integrated to Memorial Hermann System and UT Health – School of Medicine.  This full time clinical and research position is considered at junior to mid-level.  The clinician will have the opportunity to work with clinical and research cardiologists in a highly interactive and collaborative environment.

The position will provide flexibility to accommodate both research and clinical interests for the applicant. Presently, there is a large heart failure research program on site and there is potential to develop clinical or basic science research in this environment.

The successful candidate will possess a medical degree, have exemplary clinical skills and demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence. Preference will be given to applicants with heart failure and transplant experience, those who have completed fellowship training in heart failure and transplantation, and those who are board certified in heart failure and transplantation.
