Banner Children’s Specialists (BCS), a multispecialty group within Banner Health, is actively recruiting for a staff Pediatric Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon to join the team at our busy orthopedic clinic, located on the campus of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center (BTMC) in Glendale, AZ. BCS provides fully integrated pediatric services to the greater Phoenix area, with the clinic just steps away from the hospital, specialties and primary care offices.

Servicing most of the West Valley, this busy clinic currently has six providers (three orthopedic surgeons and three physician assistants) and staff including on-site technicians. Clinical responsibilities include general pediatric orthopedic care including office consults, fracture care, and arthroscopy. 

BCS seeks BC/BE Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon candidates with Sports Medicine training/experience. We are most interested in providers with recent state-of-the art procedure training and values that will complement a successful, growing, clinical enterprise. Call requirement of seven days with extra call available.

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center is the fourth largest hospital in the Phoenix metropolitan area with 513 licensed beds. No one in the West Valley provides the level of care to kids that Banner Thunderbird does. Within the hospital is the highly regarded Banner Thunderbird Children’s Center, a dedicated area for pediatrics that includes 40 pediatric inpatient beds and the West Valley’s only pediatric intensive care unit capable of caring for the most critically ill or injured children. In addition, Banner Thunderbird has a separate emergency department for children. BCS has more than 240 pediatric physicians on staff, covering more than 27 specialties.
