Carilion Clinic is looking for a BC/BE Rheumatologist

Carilion Clinic, a physician-led, multi-specialty clinic of 600+ physicians located in Roanoke, VA, has an excellent opportunity for a BC/BE Rheumatologist to join a well-established  group of four rheumatologists and one nurse practitioner in a busy practice. Responsibilities include consultative care in both the outpatient and inpatient setting.  The practice sees a wide variety of rheumatologic cases and offers full-spectrum state-of-the-art treatments.   There is ample opportunity to be involved in teaching and education both with medical residents and medical students.  Academic appointment at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM) is available.   Aspects of this opportunity include:

•         4.5 days per week 
•         Guaranteed based salary with productivity bonus and performance incentives
•         Large referral base of primary care physicians ( 200+)
•         X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, lab services and 10 chair infusion suite on site
•         Collaborative care with other specialist (Renal, Dermatology, Pulmonary, Gastrointestinal and surgical teams for biopsies and other consultations)
•         Fully-integrated EMR (EPIC)
•         Call 1:4
•         Both in-patient and out-patient bedside teaching of medical residents and medical students
•         Academic appointment and teaching opportunities as VTCSOM
