Job Details

St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI) seeks a BC/BE Medical Oncologist to join our incredibly capable and fun staff of extensively trained providers in picturesque Fruitland, ID. This clinic serves a large referral base from ten surrounding counties in Idaho and Oregon.  The clinic is comprised of three medical oncologists, three nurse practitioners and a radiation oncologist, as well as a primary RN and CAP/MA staff and is part of the larger St. Luke’s MSTI that includes fourteen medical oncologists.  Our EMR is EPIC. This opportunity affords a supportive work environment and is the perfect blend of a low-key, small town setting that still has all the amenities and services at our tertiary center in Boise. We are the largest cancer center between Salt Lake City and Seattle and have capacities you would often find at major academic center – SBRT, advanced endoscopy (EUS), dedicated gynecologic, hepatobiliary and thoracic surgical oncology, clinical research through the NCI’s NCORP, and the state’s only stem marrow transplant. We are an American College of Surgeons Certified Cancer Program, and ASCO QOPI certified. Patients and their families have trusted St. Luke's MSTI for more than 40 years.

ABOUT FRUITLAND

Famous for fruit orchards, rich farmland, and rugged scenery, Fruitland borders the Snake River as it splits Idaho and Oregon.  Fruitland is a friendly rural community nestled on the high banks of two rivers and named for the fruit orchards that were developed in the area.  Fruitland is less than a 60-minute commute from the state capitol, concerts, shopping, sports venues, and a variety of entertainment options; including access to world class fishing, boating, kayaking, hiking, biking, camping and snow skiing making our community one of the best sites in the Northwest to locate. Known as the West Treasure Valley, the area is home to Treasure Valley Community College and the Four Rivers Cultural Center which honors the diverse heritage of the region: Native American, European, Basque, Japanese, and Hispanic. Additionally, Fruitland offers a robust park and trail system, giving residents and visitors excellent access to outdoor activities.

OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Competitive guaranteed base salary with potential production and quality incentives;
  • Generous recruitment incentives may include housing allowance, student loan repayment, residency stipend and relocation;
  • Hospital employed with great benefits, retirement, malpractice, vacation and CME allowance;
  • 4 day work week and excellent work life balance.
  • Outpatient only during the week. Inpatient call responsibility will be 1:9 for weekends.
  • Strong, supportive care program; access to clinical trials and tumor boards to prepare best possible cancer treatment and care plan.
