The Yale Section of Cardiovascular Medicine of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine is seeking a candidate for a position as a PhD, Assistant Professor to grow the translational/clinical imaging program for diagnosis and treatment of peripheral artery disease (PAD). Part of the plan is the establishment of a network for evaluation and comprehensive care of patients with PAD. This ultimately would incorporate the implementation of structured exercise and other novel therapeutics (devices, cell therapies, gene therapies) in treatment of PAD. This will require advanced imaging for evaluation of these therapies. Participation in pre-clinical imaging related to development and validation of imaging approaches and evaluation of novel therapies in PAD is also a key element.

Another requirement would be to grow the clinical PAD database and clinical PAD research program for the large Cardiovascular Clinical Research subsection of Cardiology. The candidate would have access to the Translational Research Imaging Center resources as other investigators at Yale and will access clinical YNHH and Yale imaging systems (SPECT, PET, CT, and MR) and opportunity for conducting pilot imaging, and ideally funds for pilot imaging studies.

Candidates must qualify for faculty appointment at Yale University School of Medicine at a level commensurate with experience.

Interested candidates please submit application materials electronically to: apply.interfolio.com/47605.

Yale University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes applications from women, persons with disabilities, protected veterans, and members of minority groups.
