Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking BC/BE adult psychiatrists for a Chair for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center. The department encompasses the Psychiatry, Psychology, and Chemical Dependency service lines and includes 23 privileged psychiatrist.

Cleveland Clinic Akron General has 2 closed behavioral health units with approximately 2000 admissions annually. There is a shared residency program with Summa (Summa is the sponsoring institution) with 16 residents total in program and includes a residents clinic. Cleveland Clinic Akron General is a primary teaching site for two medical schools- NEOMED and OUHCOM. We also offer a 1-year (August-July) Post-PhD Psychology Residency.

The department and its leadership are heavily involved with community mental health resources.

Faculty appointment options are available through Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University and NEOMED. Clinical appointments through the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic may also be available.
