The Respiratory Institute's Department of Critical Care Medicine is recruiting for a Director of Medical Intensive Care at our 64-bed Main Campus Medical ICU, one of the largest ICUs in the U.S. As a national leader in healthcare, the Cleveland Clinic serves as an excellent opportunity for candidates with interest and significant prior experience in ICU leadership. The position provides unique opportunities to lead a large group of outstanding critical care providers, to participate in and develop research programs (e.g. the NIH PETAL Network) and to foster the education of over 35 critical care fellows each year. Significant protected time to fulfill the administrative responsibilities of the MICU Director position will be provided. Key administrative skills for the position include supervision, support and mentorship for the inter-disciplinary members of the multi-team service, leadership and management oversight of ICU operations, guidance and development of projects and protocols that align with national and system quality goals and benchmarks, and collaboration with enterprise-wide critical care services.
