The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont (UVM) is seeking an academic pathologist for a full time faculty appointment on the Clinical Scholar Pathway at any professorial rank with expertise in gastrointestinal and liver pathology. The successful candidate will work in the Anatomic Pathology Division of the Clinical Laboratory at the University of Vermont Medical Center as part of the UVM Health Network. Board eligibility/certification in Anatomic Pathology is required, fellowship training in gastrointestinal pathology is highly preferred, and prior diagnostic experience is desirable. Additional training or expertise in an additional subspecialty area of surgical pathology also is desirable. The candidate should be committed to education of medical students, residents, and surgical pathology fellows. The candidate is expected to pursue scholarly activities and clinical research and should provide a description of their academic work and future plans in their cover letter. Surgical Pathology at UVM Medical Center serves northern Vermont, New York and New Hampshire and processes over 43,000 surgical specimens annually.
