The School of Medicine at UC San Francisco seeks an outstanding individual to lead its Cardiovascular Research Institute (http://cvri.ucsf.edu) - a prestigious research institute housed in the 232,000 square foot Smith Cardiovascular Research Building on the Mission Bay campus, and home to more than 37 core principal investigators in basic and translational cardiovascular-focused research. The successful candidate will have exceptional creative vision, administrative and organizational skills, and a national reputation as a leader in cardiovascular research. The individual chosen will have major responsibilities for the overall direction of the research and education programs of this distinguished Institute. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other Departments on cardiovascular-related research programs and faculty recruitment. Must have MD, PhD, or equivalent. Applicants must be qualified for appointment as a professor.
