Academic Medical Director - Transplant Hepatology - UMass Memorial - Gastroenterology

The Department of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and UMassMemorial Healtcare is seeking a Medical Director of Transplant Hepatology. Candidates must possess an MD or equivalent degree, be board-certified in gastroenterology and hepatology, and be eligible for licensure in the state of Massachusetts. The selected candidate will have significant clinical experience in the field of hepatology and liver transplantation and will lead an established team of transplant hepatologists in the GI Division of the Department of Medicine and will interact with liver specialists in other departments. We are seeking a leader with established clinical/translational research to increase collaborations with basic, translational, and clinical researchers at UMMS. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.

The candidate will be expected to participate in training the next generation of experts in the field by teaching various levels of medical trainees (medical students, residents, and fellows).
