The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) McGovern Medical School, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology, seeks a Hematologist at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor, depending on applicant’s qualifications. This position will include a clinical practice in the Memorial Hermann Hospital, the Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital and a sickle cell center.

Position Key Accountabilities
The position involves inpatient and/or outpatient clinical care, teaching, and clinical and bench research. There are currently three full time adult hematology faculty, with whom the work load of the Division is to be shared. 

Minimum Qualifications
The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License. Required or preferred board certification/eligibility statement. Required or preferred minimum years of clinical experience or years post residency statement.

Qualified applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, discovery, and service, have potential to be outstanding in their field of expertise, and share an interest in fulfilling the common goals of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. Preferred applicants will possess state preferred credentials such as, an advanced fellowship in hematology and demonstrate state preferred knowledge or skills such as, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
