Northwell Health’s Division of Geriatric Medicine is seeking an academic Geriatrician to join the Stern Family Center for Rehabilitation in Manhasset, New York.

The Stern Family Center for Rehabilitation is an award-winning 249-bed Center of Excellence providing short-term sub-acute inpatient rehabilitation and nursing home services. It is ranked as one of the top nursing facilities in New York State. Awarded a five out of five-star rating for overall quality from the federal government’s U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Stern Family Center for Rehabilitation is in the top 10% of nursing facilities in the country.

In addition, we have received the CareScout’s highest “AAA” rating demonstrating our dedication to exceptional quality of life and care requirements for our patients. Our team is comprised of seven geriatricians, one nurse practitioner and five geriatric fellows. This candidate will participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Research opportunities also exist. Our physicians have access to various subspecialties including neurology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, radiology, dentistry, rehabilitation medicine and psychiatry.

The ideal candidate will be board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with subspecialty boards in Geriatrics and will have an interest in academics, stimulating cases, transitional care, and sub-acute rehabilitation.

We are located on the campus of North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. Manhasset is in Nassau County on the north shore of Long Island in a beautiful suburban community. All candidates will receive competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package, and eligibility for tuition reimbursement. Full-time positions will be employed as members of Northwell Physician Partners, the fifth largest medical group in the country. Academic appointment to the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine is commensurate with credentials and experience.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
