Consultative Psychiatry & Inpatient Staff Psychiatry Positions
West Reading, PA

Reading Hospital, part of Tower Health, a leading regional health system located in West Reading, PA and recipient of numerous awards including U.S. News top 5% ranking of all hospitals in the United States, is seeking two Psychiatrists. The first position is for a Consultative Psychiatrist and the second is an Inpatient Staff Psychiatrist to help care for a population of more than 400,000 with comprehensive services and technology.

Practice:
  • The Consultative Psychiatrist will develop a multidisciplinary consultative team which will include Psychiatric Nurses and Social Workers
  • An average of 15 to 20 consults per day
  • Monday through Friday with some weekend call
  • Very manageable call schedule provides excellent quality of life
  • Teaching Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residents
  • The In-patient staff Psychiatrist position is also a Monday through Friday position with call shared among 11 Psychiatrists and an opportunity to teach
  • Clinical duties for both positions include - Assume overall clinical responsibility for monitoring patient treatment and staff delivery of clinical services. Provide psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment, clinical supervision, education, and training.
