PER DIEM COVERAGE NEEDED

GREENWICH HOSPITAL

Work within the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Connecticut recognized for advanced clinical care, quality, service, cost effectiveness and commitment to improving the health status of the communities it serves. YNHHS includes three hospitals – Bridgeport, Greenwich and Yale-New Haven hospitals, and Northeast Medical Group (NEMG) , a non-profit medical foundation with several hundred community-based and hospital-employed physicians.

Northeast Medical Group is seeking a CT licensed OB/GYN Physician to take call coverage at Greenwich Hospital on a temporary basis.

Schedule: The need is for24-hour coverage up to 5-10 days per month(flexible).

Labor and Delivery

The Labor and Delivery Unit at Greenwich Hospital includes the very latest in equipment and technology, assuring safety and comfort for both mother and baby. The hospital is staffed with a 24-hour obstetrician hospitalist, a neonatology hospitalist and an anesthesiology hospitalist. These physician specialists will provide continuous care if required.

Our private labor, delivery and recovery (LDR) rooms are equipped with color televisions, telephones, lavatories and comfortable birthing beds.

Responsibilities

The opportunity at Greenwich Hospital is for aCT licensed board certified/board eligible OB/GYNto provide 24 hourcoverage for our unit, as well as provide consultation, surgical assistance and manage emergency situations.


Qualifications

Degree Required

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)

Training Required

4-year OB/GYN residency

Key Responsibilities

Provide health care for women related to reproductive health; provide health care before, during and after pregnancy and deliver babies; examine patients, order diagnostic tests and make diagnosis; order medication and treatment

Licensure or Certification

CT MD licensed; board certification in OB/GYN

The hospital is staffed with a 24-hour obstetrician hospitalist, a neonatology hospitalist and an anesthesiology hospitalist. These physician specialists will provide continuous care if required.

    Our private labor, delivery and recovery (LDR) rooms are equipped with color televisions, telephones, lavatories and comfortable birthing beds. Women who feel able are encouraged to walk during the early stages of labor to help them feel more comfortable. One partner or support person may be present during labor and delivery in either the LDR or the cesarean birth room, which is located in the delivery suite.
